Holy Grail Lush Lip Balms

I've always loved Lush products, but I had trouble buying them because they were expensive and I also didn't take baths. However, when I decided to give their lip balms a try, it was the best decision ever.

The first one I tried at the store was the Rose Lollipop lip balm. I got a sample of it, but did not end up liking it as much. It turned quite oily on the lips, but it didn't feel like it had a long lasting hydration for me.

The first actual product I purchased was the Lip Service lip balm. I didn't bother with a sample; I just bought it. It took a bit of getting used to at first because I would apply it and then it would turn oily where it felt like it spread all over and outside my lips. I didn't mind it because it was hydrating. Eventually, that went away and I was just left with amazingly hydrated lips. It also had lemon in it so it was exfoliating while I was wearing it as a lip balm. I had never had amazingly luscious lips until I started using this lip balm. No chapping whatsoever!

The last thing I tried was their Honey Trap lip balm. Oh my gosh. HOLY GRAIL! I never thought I'd be obsessed with honey-scented products, but I became obsessed after trying this product. I was told that it was the most hydrating lip balm they have, so naturally, I bought it. I would use it during the day while I would use Lip Service during the night for an overnight treatment.

Ever since trying these lip balms, I've tried to get my friends to buy them as well. They're affordable at $9.95 and they last forever! I wouldn't buy any high end lip balms again.

Let me know in the comments if you've tried Lush lip balms and what you favorite is!

Pacifica Hand Creams

I never used hand creams until Pacifica sent me the Tuscan Blood Orange hand cream last year. I really loved the smell like I had fresh oranges on my hands. My hands felt so soft and moisturized. Last holiday season, I saw their hand cream gift set at Ulta. I didn't need three new hand creams, so I decided to give away two of them and share the love. I decided to keep the Sugared Amber Dreams because I loved the smell.

Their hand creams weren't greasy and a little went a long way in moisturizing my little hands. Of course, they're all natural. Sometimes it could be difficult to find natural, effective products, but I promise, these hand creams were amazing!

My Throw Pillow Collection

It all started last year when I decided to decorate my space during the holidays to give myself a little boost and to be honest, to give my YouTube videos a pretty background. Since then, I've purchased a few throw pillows that I somehow decided I wanted a pillow to represent every possible holiday during the year. I've got a long way to go and limited space, but I'd definitely want to continue collecting pillows.

First up was my favorite pillow so far. When I saw it at Walmart, I knew I had to have it. It was also what sparked the desire to own a pillow for each occasion.

I bought the grey and white pillow at the same time as I bought my favorite pillow. The grey with the gorgeous design (please tell me in the comments what the design is called) just seemed so Pinterest and would look great down the line when I get my own place with a sofa and everything. The smaller pillow was from Target's "$1, $3, $5" section upon entering the store. I got it for $5 and it was so soft. I definitely bought pillows not just for cute worthiness, but also for the cozy factor.

The red, brown, and cream pillow was what started the collection. I thought I should buy a cute pillow for my bed. Then the orange pillow was purchased out of sheer desperation to have something fall or Thanksgiving themed. I was lucky enough to get it from Home Goods for $8.

Finally, the inspiration for this post was sent to me by Modern Map Art. They have pillows, prints, phone cases, and more with city map arts. The one you see here is the Stone Harbor map in New Jersey. I thought the colors would be a great addition to the collection during the more neutral months when there wasn't a more popular holiday. They offer free shipping on all orders and they can customize the maps into whatever color or style you would like. If maps are your passion, definitely check them out.

As for other things in the photos, I wanted to quickly mention that the hello kitty blanket was a gift from my mom, and the gorgeous chevron pillow cases were from Walmart. They were only meant to be decorative so I didn't mind that they weren't the best quality pillow cases. They were good enough to be comfortable, but certainly not made from Egyptian cotton.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. Let me know if you collect throw pillows, too. Next on my list would be pillows with lovely quotes on them.
